{"id":2933,"date":"2025-06-02T21:17:03","date_gmt":"2025-06-02T21:17:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.expl.com\/?p=2933"},"modified":"2025-06-02T21:17:04","modified_gmt":"2025-06-02T21:17:04","slug":"explorer-pipeline-awards-five-firefighters-extreme-industrial-fire-hazard-training-scholarships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.expl.com\/explorer-pipeline-awards-five-firefighters-extreme-industrial-fire-hazard-training-scholarships\/","title":{"rendered":"EXPLORER PIPELINE AWARDS FIVE FIREFIGHTERS EXTREME INDUSTRIAL FIRE &amp; HAZARD TRAINING SCHOLARSHIPS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Tulsa, OK (June 2, 2025)<\/strong> \u2013 Explorer Pipeline<strong>,<\/strong> a common carrier pipeline transportation company, with offices in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana, is pleased to present five scholarships and hotel accommodations to the Williams Fire and Hazard Control\u2019s weeklong Extreme Industrial Fire &amp; Hazard training in June 2025 at the Brayton Fire Training Field in College Station, Texas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This tank fire training, along with on-site hands-on training with Explorer personnel, is one of the components of Explorer\u2019s Pipeline Safety Management System emergency response training program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peyton \u201cBo\u201d Gilbert, Wyat \u201cPepper\u201d Reed and Josh Fleak from Glenpool, Oklahoma, and Thomas Smith and Darnell Walker from Hammond, Indiana, fire departments were selected by their organizations to participate in the training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to offer these scholarships and support to these deserving firefighters and their departments,\u201d said Mark Hurley, Explorer Pipeline President &amp; CEO. \u201cThis crucial training program will help keep these firefighters and our communities safe.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants will work with firefighting professionals who experienced some of the industry&#8217;s largest industrial fire events. The training includes classroom study and hands-on practical exercises covering various incident profiles such as fire dynamics, foam and dry chemical applications, response logistics, field operations, and large-volume equipment applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe&#8217;re grateful for Explore Pipeline\u2019s continuing commitment to expanding our training opportunities,\u201d said Chief Paul Newton, Glenpool Fire Department. \u201cExplorer Pipeline has been great to work with, and we appreciate their investment in the safety of Glenpool and its residents.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>###&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Explorer Pipeline<\/strong> is headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and has over 240 employees. It transports refined petroleum products through an 1872-mile pipeline system extending from Port Arthur, Texas to the upper Midwest and serves major markets, including Houston, Dallas, Tulsa, St. Louis, and Chicago.
